Your itinerary: To visit a large number of the Bordeaux wineries, follow the direction to "Le Bouscat" and "Le Verdon" going north-west of Bordeaux city center. To get to the "route des chateaux", take the D2, drive through Blanquefort and take the road to Pauillac, via Margaux. At Margaux, visit the church near the famous Palladian style Château Margaux, before driving north through the town of Moulis and Listrac.
At Lamarque, you can see one of the Médoc’s last castles. In Pauillac, the capital of the Médoc, visit the waterfront now laid out as a vast promenade, between the Atlantic to the west and Europe’s widest estuary to the east, stretches over 80 km north of Bordeaux to the Pointe de Grave. This exceptional region is home to Bordeaux’s most prestigious Great Classified Growths (classification of 1855) and to many Bourgeois Cru.
